Ethics & Sustainability

Fast fashion has had a disastrous social and environmental impact.

We’re about slow fashion.

From using natural materials to being low-waste, sustainability is at the forefront of our practices. View our Environmental Policies and Procedures for further details.

Our Workshop

All MR. CUFF garments are made by hand in the studio attached to our Melbourne store. We work in front of a street-facing window. Come see our transparency for yourself!

Making our garments in store significantly reduces carbon emissions from shipping and manufacturing.

Our store and workshop are both powered by 100% renewable energy.

Minimising Waste

As MR. CUFF pieces are artisan-made in a mindful way, patterns are skilfully placed to minimise fabric wastage. Unavoidable offcuts are used to make hats, scarves, and pocket swatches. Any other leftover fabric is donated to GJ’s Fabrics in Fairfield, to be used by students & sewing clubs.

If your weight changes post purchase, we’re happy to make a free alteration to ensure you can still wear your garment. We want you to wear your MR. CUFF pieces again and again.

Wool, Organic Cotton, Linen, Hemp, Timber

We make our menswear from natural fabrics. Our cotton, linen, and hemp are 100% organic. Our buttons are made from timber.

All our materials are Oeko Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning that every thread, button and other accessory, has been tested for harmful substances and found to be safe for human health.

MR. CUFF does not use fur, angora, reptile skin, feathers or down.
